My name is Alexander Forster. I am a photographer, photo coach, adventurer and passionate about the great outdoors. I am often out and about with my faithful "Appenzeller dog Fiamma" to capture new, unique moments. My training as an avalanche dog guide taught me to treat nature with even more respect. Our planet is a unique composition of diverse habitats and natural backdrops - and we need to protect them. In a world where many spend an inordinate amount of time indoors, surrounded by screens, apps and devices, I love exploring nature and showing the beauty that lies behind every mountain and every tree.

Extraordinary, haunting perspectives want to be discovered, explored and climbed. The most important thing, however, is to be in the right place at the right time. The weather and light conditions, the time of year and time of day determine whether a natural motif can shine in all its beauty. You wait patiently (and sometimes a little impatiently) for that "one moment".

Zermatt is the mountain village of superlatives and I... I'm right in the middle of it! The "Matterhorn", the most photographed mountain in the world, magically attracts people - I couldn't let go of its spell. You get to know and appreciate the mountains, the Alps and this unique nature and wildlife from a completely different perspective. Zermatt offers the fantastic opportunity to explore nature right on your doorstep, something not everyone is lucky enough to have.
